(Croatian Green Party - Ecological Alliance). Established:
Zagreb, 14 May 1996. Members: 1997 (1.000), 1998 (105), 1999
(400), 2001 (300), 2003 (1.000), 2004 (1.500). The Statutes
describe the flag and I have tried to draw it according to the
description, though multiple interpretations are possible in some
elements. The flag is green with a white rhombus containing the
party emblem. The emblem consists of a downpointing triangle with
9 pieces chequy field and an oak tree growing from it. To its
left is the name of the party and to the right is the year 1996.
Note: there are several parties in Croatia claiming the short
name "Zeleni", and apparently none have reached any
bigger popularity, so the issue of precedence have not raised
yet.
